A Magento 2 module that keeps store and warehouse in step.

Install our module, paste in your keys, and paid orders start reaching the warehouse on their own.

Where this stands today.

This is a real Magento extension that lives in your store - not another monthly subscription sitting in between. Orders come out, tracking goes back, stock stays honest. It runs on Magento's own scheduler, so there is nothing extra to host and nothing extra to pay for.

Up to date, and working with Adobe Commerce 2.4.4+, Magento Open Source 2.4.4+, PHP 8.1+.

What moves, and when.

Both directions, without anyone pressing anything.

Magento to Waypoint New paid orders, with the delivery option chosen, how quickly it needs to arrive, and the weight. You decide which Magento statuses count as paid - unpaid orders never leave. Within a minute
Magento to Waypoint Cancellations. Cancel in Magento and the order stops here. If the parcel has already gone, Magento tells you so rather than pretending. As you click Cancel
Waypoint to Magento The shipment, with courier and tracking, which fires Magento's own shipping email to your customer. Every 5 minutes
Waypoint to Magento The order closing, once the parcel has been delivered. Every 5 minutes
Waypoint to Magento Stock figures, set to what you can actually sell: what is on the shelf, minus what is already promised to other orders. Twice a day

Setting it up.

Most of this is done once, at the start, with us on the call if you want us there.

What you need

  • Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source 2.4.4 or newer
  • PHP 8.1 or newer - which 2.4.4 needs anyway
  • Magento's cron running, as it already is on almost every store

Your developer installs the module

It comes from our own Composer repository, with credentials we issue alongside your account - so it is one command and the usual Magento setup afterwards. Magento's scheduler has to be running, since everything rides on it; on almost every store it already is.

Paste in your keys

In Stores → Configuration → Waypoint 3PL, paste the two keys from your portal, leave it in test mode to begin with, and press Test Connection. The keys are stored encrypted.

Send us your products

One click tells us what you sell, what each item weighs and how big it is. Anything you do not know, we measure when the stock arrives - and sending the list again later never overwrites what we measured.

Match up your delivery options

Every order arrives carrying the delivery option your customer picked. You tell us once which courier service each of those means, and every order after that is matched on its own. Anything you have not matched falls back to the service you nominate.

Try one order, then go live

Place a test order and mark it paid. Within a minute it appears in the portal's test view. Happy with it? Switch the module to live.

Worth knowing before you start.

Orders that ship in parts

Some baskets should not wait for their slowest item. Flag a product as one that can travel on its own, and its order becomes several parcels here - still grouped under the one order number. Magento gets a separate shipment and tracking for each part as it goes, and only marks the order complete when the last one lands.

The whole address, intact

Name, company, both address lines, city, county, postcode, country, phone and email all travel with the order, so nothing your customer typed is lost on the way. If an address cannot be delivered to, the reason is added to the order in Magento rather than buried in a log nobody reads.

Problems land where you will see them

If we could not work out which courier service a delivery option meant, or a parcel is too heavy for the service picked, that arrives as a note on the order in Magento.
