A Wix app, being built now.

We are building an app for Wix Stores. It is written and being tested, and this page says what it will do rather than what it does.

In development

Where this stands today.

This one is written but not yet in anybody's shop, so nothing here is something you can install today. We are writing it the same way as the Shopify app - a hosted app you install from your portal in one click, with no keys to copy - and it will do the same job: orders out to the warehouse, tracking back onto the order, stock levels kept honest. If you sell on Wix and want your parcels picked before it lands, you are not waiting for it: our REST API does everything the app will do, and it is the route every Wix merchant takes today. Tell us you are on Wix and we will put you at the front of the queue for the app when it goes out.

In development

What moves, and when.

Both directions, without anyone pressing anything.

Wix to Waypoint Orders Wix has approved, with the delivery address, what to pick, and the delivery option your customer chose. An order Wix has approved is not always one that has been paid for, so the app waits for the money before the warehouse picks anything. Within a minute
Wix to Waypoint Cancellations, which stop the order here - as long as it has not already gone out. Within a minute
Waypoint to Wix The courier and tracking number, written onto the Wix order as a real fulfilment, so it shows where your customer and your staff both look for it. Every 5 minutes
Waypoint to Wix Each parcel of an order that ships in parts, tracked separately, because Wix counts fulfilment line by line rather than order by order. Every 5 minutes
Waypoint to Wix Stock figures, set to what you can actually sell: what is on the shelf, minus what is already promised to other orders. Twice a day

Setting it up.

Most of this is done once, at the start, with us on the call if you want us there.

What you need

  • A Wix site with Wix Stores on it
  • A SKU on every product the warehouse holds - it is how a warehouse tells one thing from another
  • A Waypoint account - you will install the app from your own portal

Tell us you are on Wix

Not a queue for the sake of it - the shops that say so now are the ones it gets tested against, and what is awkward in your catalogue is easier to design around than to fix afterwards.

Start on the API in the meantime

Your developer, or ours, connects your Wix site to the warehouse through the REST API. It is the same connection the app will use, so nothing done now is thrown away.

Install the app when it lands

From the customer portal, the same one-click install as Shopify: approve it in Wix and your keys are set up for you, with nothing to copy from one screen to another.

Try it, then go live

It will start in sandbox, exactly as the others do - orders appear in the portal but are never picked, so you can watch the whole thing happen without a parcel moving.

Worth knowing before you start.

Why it is not out yet

Wix has no idea of a warehouse holding your stock somewhere else - there is one stock number per item and no second location, so the app has to write the warehouse figure over your shop's own. That is the same job our Adobe Commerce and WooCommerce connectors do, and it is the part worth getting right rather than quickly.

Your tracking links, built by us

Wix knows how to build a tracking link for a handful of American carriers and none of the ones a UK parcel actually leaves on. So the app sends the finished link along with the number, from the courier template already on your account - which means Royal Mail, DPD and Evri tracking work on a Wix order the same as anywhere else.

Nothing here is promised to a date

It is written and being tested against a real Wix site; it is not being sold. Every part of it has to be watched working on somebody's actual catalogue before a parcel depends on it. When it is ready to go out to a first shop this page will say so, and until then it says this.
